Play hard, party hard: “When a kid starts playing tennis, everybody sees dollar signs. But surfers never think about that. If anything we have the opposite reputation. People think we’re just bums hanging out on the beach.”

Jets to Brazil: “Surfing may be a male-dominated sport, but I’m not out there trying to be a boy. I surf in a tiny Brazilian bikini, and I’m perfectly comfortable like that.
