Play hard, party hard: “In the East we get a lot of wind by midday,” says our fabulous Floridian, “so I try to get on my board as early as possible. I’m superstitious. Sometimes I’ll go out and get completely shitfaced, because that usually guarantees the waves will be good in the morning. There have definitely been many times when I paddled out still drunk as hell.”

No fear: “Surfers eat it every day,” Amy says. “A few months ago I smashed my face open on my board. I was blowing blood out of my nose, spitting it out of my mouth. All because this asshole dropped in on me. I’d love to know where that guy is right now.”

Sexy tsunami: “I’ve always been kind of a bully,” Amy says. “And I’ve always hated stupid chicks. Now that I’ve made the transition from anorexic model chick to gnarly surfer girl, all those stupid chicks with their painted nails better watch out.”
