Where you’ve seen them: By replacing evening gowns and tuxedos with leather pants and sex appeal, Bond turned the classical music world on its oversensitive ear with their two-million-selling first album, Born.
License to kill: All four band members attended prestigious music schools and have played with artists like Sting, Bryan Adams, Barry Manilow, and the Spice Girls. (Wow! That sounds…unbearable.)
The world is not enough: Appropriately, the multinational band—Gay-Yee and Eos are British; Haylie and Tania are Australian—now play their amped blend of classical, trance, house, salsa, folk, and, of course, Led Zeppelin to packed houses all over the world, including Middle America.
Live and let die: “In Las Vegas I won a bunch of tokens at Caesars Palace,” Gay-Yee says. “I was thinking of throwing them at the crowd, but I didn’t want to get sued for giving someone a black eye.”
